Get your dippers ready! Our creamy fondue is mouthwatering and full of delicious flavors from onions, white wine, ground nutmeg, fresh thyme and Sargento® Shredded Swiss Cheese. It's ideal for dipping cut fresh vegetables, cubed bread and more!
Cut fresh vegetables such as bell pepper, squash, pea pods, green onion & cooked baby potatoes.
Melt butter in a heavy medium skillet over medium heat. Add onion and sauté about 3-4 minutes. Reduce heat to low and sprinkle onion with sugar. Stir and sauté onions until caramelized, about 15 minutes.
In medium saucepan, boil wine one minute. Meanwhile, place cheese in bowl and toss with flour and nutmeg. Add cheese mixture 1/2 cup at a time, stirring until cheese melts and is smooth. Thin with more wine if cheese mixture becomes too thick. Stir in caramelized onions and thyme. Serve in fondue pot along with bread cubes and fresh vegetables.
