Tender ground beef is simmered in taco seasoning to make for a delicious topping for our pizza along with your favorite chunky salsa for added zesty flavor. A layer of melted Sargento® Shredded 4 Cheese Mexican - Traditional Cut gives this pizza that authentic Mexican flavor all on a golden doughy pizza crust.

  • 1 can (11 oz.) refrigerated pizza crust
  • 3/4 lb. ground round
  • 1 pkg. (1.25 oz.) taco seasoning mix
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1-3/4 cups chunky salsa
  • 2 cups (8 oz.) Sargento® Shredded 4 Cheese Mexican - Traditional Cut, divided
  1. Spread pizza crust in 12-inch pizza pan coated with nonstick cooking spray. Push dough to pan edge to create narrow 1/4-inch high. Bake in preheated 400°F oven 7 minutes.
  2. Meanwhile, cook and stir ground beef in medium skillet over medium-high heat 5 minutes or until no longer pink. Drain; return beef to skillet.
  3. Stir in taco seasoning mix and water. Simmer over medium-high heat 4 minutes or until thickened, stirring occasionally.
  4. Spread 1 cup cheese and beef mixture over crust. Spoon salsa on top Sprinkle with remaining cheese. Bake 12 minutes in preheated 400°F oven or until crust is golden and cheese is melted.
