Bring the heat with this Margherita pizza with bold flavor from Sargento® Shreds with McCormick® Crushed Red Pepper. The pizza dough is topped with a zesty pizza sauce, fresh tomato slices, and melted cheese for a deliciously crispy crust with a spicy kick. Finished with fresh basil leaves, it's the perfect balance of heat and freshness in every bite.

Directions

  1. Place a pizza stone on center rack in oven and preheat your oven to 450 degrees.
  2. Stretch dough into a 12” round on a floured surface, then transfer to a well-floured pizza peel.
  3. Spread sauce evenly over dough to within an inch of the edge.
  4. Sprinkle half the Sargento® Shreds with McCormick® Crushed Red Pepper over sauce, and top with tomato slices.
  5. Sprinkle with remaining cheese.
  6. Slide pizza onto stone. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until crust is golden brown and cheese is well melted and lightly browned. Remove pizza from oven with the pizza peel and top with basil leaves.
  7. Cut into slices and serve.
