Mediterranean Broiled Fish

Eat like the Mediterranean natives do with a cheesy twist we’ve added using Sargento® Shredded Reduced Fat Mild Cheddar Cheese to garnish broiled fish filets along with minced garlic, green onions and a pinch of paprika and mayonnaise. This light meal is quick and super savory.

  • 1/4 cup light mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup (1 oz.) Sargento® Shredded Reduced Fat Mild Cheddar Cheese
  • 1 Tbsp. Sargento® Shredded Parmesan Cheese
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 2 Tbsp. minced green onions
  • 5 pitted black olives (optional)
  • 4 fillets (5 oz. each) red snapper or sole
  • Paprika
  1. Combine mayonnaise, Cheddar and Parmesan cheeses, garlic, green onion and olives, if desired, in small bowl.
  2. Preheat broiler. Place fillets on broiler pan sprayed with nonstick vegetable spray. Sprinkle fish with paprika. Broil 5 minutes or until fish begins to flake with a fork. Divide cheese mixture and spread evenly over each fillet. Broil 2 minutes more or until topping puffs and cheese is melted.
