You can’t go wrong with a toasted panini stuffed with rich Italian tuna, a splash of citrus and dressed with pickled capers. We’ve also added a layer of Sargento® Sliced Reduced Fat Pepper Jack Cheese that melts to an ideal texture once these panini are toasted to perfection between slices of ciabatta.

  • 1 can (6-1/2 oz.) Italian tuna or solid white tuna in water, drained
  • 1 tsp. capers
  • 1 small lemon, cut in half
  • Salt and pepper
  • 4 slices ciabatta bread
  • 4 slices Sargento® Sliced Reduced Fat Pepper Jack Cheese
  • 6 small romaine lettuce leaves
  1. Combine tuna with capers. Squeeze lemon over tuna and salt and pepper to taste.
  2. Place evenly on 2 slices bread and layer cheese and bread on top.
  3. Grill 3-5 minutes or until cheese has melted.
  4. Open panini and add lettuce. Close before serving.
