Indulge in the unique blend of savory and sweet flavors when you combine sautéed Granny Smith apples with crispy bacon slices and cracked pepper on ciabatta bread covered with Sargento® Sliced Vermont Sharp White Cheddar Cheese. Just grill until the bread is golden brown, and the cheese is gooey and bubbly.

Ingredients
  • 4 slices bacon
  • 2 small Granny Smith apples, cored and sliced
  • Cracked pepper
  • 4 slices ciabatta bread
  • 4 slices Sargento® Sliced Vermont Sharp White Cheddar Cheese
Directions
  1. Cook bacon until crisp on low heat; drain on paper towels. Put apples into hot pan with 1 Tbsp. bacon drippings and sauté for 30 seconds; sprinkle with pepper.
  2. Spread apples evenly on top of 2 slices bread. Place 2 slices cheese and two strips bacon on top of apples. Close sandwich with remaining bread slices.
  3. Grill until cheese is melted and bread is golden brown.
