<p><span>The Gourmet Bacon Avocado and Tomato Grilled Cheese is a delicious and elevated version of the classic grilled cheese sandwich. It combines crispy bacon, creamy avocado, ripe tomatoes, and melted </span>Sargento® Sliced Provolone Natural Cheese with Natural Smoke Flavor<span>, all sandwiched between two slices of sourdough bread and grilled to perfection.</span></p>
- Melt the butter in a small saucepan over medium heat
- Spread mayo onto each slice of bread. Onto the 6 “bottom” slices, evenly distribute the sliced provolone cheese, bacon, tomatoes,avocados and the remaining provolone cheese; season with a pinch of salt. Close the sandwiches with the top pieces of bread.
- Heat a 12” skillet over medium heat. Add enough butter to generously coat the bottom. Once hot, gently transfer 3 of the sandwiches to the skillet. Cook until crisp and golden on one side, 2 minutes or so. Use a spatula to gently flip them over. Cover the skillet with a lid and cook for another couple of minutes, or until the second side is crisp and golden, and the cheese is melted. Repeat with the remaining 3 sandwiches.
