<p>Sargento® Smokehouse String Cheese™ coins are tossed with diced apples, brown sugar, cinnamon and melted butter, then baked in flakey puff pastry shells and sprinkled with fresh rosemary.</p>

  • 1 Sheet Puff pastry, thawed
  • 1 med. Apple, honey crisp or granny smith, diced
  • 10 Sticks Sargento® Smokehouse String Cheese, cut into 1” pieces
  • 1 tsp. Cinnamon
  • 1 Tbsp. Light brown sugar
  • 1 Tbsp. Butter, melted
  • 1 tsp. Fresh rosemary, chopped
  1. Pre-heat oven to 375 degrees. Unfold the sheet of puff pastry onto a clean, floured countertop or cutting board.  Cut the puff pastry into 12 equal squares.  Press the pastry squares into a 12-muffin tin.  Set aside.
  2. In a medium size bowl, Stir together the apple, string cheese, cinnamon, brown sugar and melted butter.
  3. Spoon evenly into each pastry cup.
  4. Bake on center rack of oven for 20-25 minutes or until lightly puff pastry is browned and cheese is melted. Transfer to a serving plate and sprinkle with rosemary.
