<p>Sargento® Smokehouse String Cheese™ coins are tossed with diced apples, brown sugar, cinnamon and melted butter, then baked in flakey puff pastry shells and sprinkled with fresh rosemary.</p>
Ingredients
- 1 Sheet Puff pastry, thawed
- 1 med. Apple, honey crisp or granny smith, diced
- 10 Sticks Sargento® Smokehouse String Cheese, cut into 1” pieces
- 1 tsp. Cinnamon
- 1 Tbsp. Light brown sugar
- 1 Tbsp. Butter, melted
- 1 tsp. Fresh rosemary, chopped
Directions
- Pre-heat oven to 375 degrees. Unfold the sheet of puff pastry onto a clean, floured countertop or cutting board. Cut the puff pastry into 12 equal squares. Press the pastry squares into a 12-muffin tin. Set aside.
- In a medium size bowl, Stir together the apple, string cheese, cinnamon, brown sugar and melted butter.
- Spoon evenly into each pastry cup.
- Bake on center rack of oven for 20-25 minutes or until lightly puff pastry is browned and cheese is melted. Transfer to a serving plate and sprinkle with rosemary.
