<p>Indulge in the rich flavors of the Breakfast Biscuit Burger, boasting a seasoned ground beef patty sizzling with McCormick® Grill Mates® Smokehouse Maple Blend on a searing hot griddle, nestled within a jumbo buttermilk biscuit, crowned with the gooey goodness of <span>Sargento® Sharp Cheddar Cheese</span>, a perfectly fried egg, and decadent country gravy.</p>

Ingredients
  • 4 - 4oz. all-beef patties
  • 2 Tbsp. McCormick® Grill Mates® Smokehouse Maple Blend
  • 3 Tbsp. butter, divided
  • 2 Tbsp. all-purpose flour
  • 1 ¼ cups whole milk
  • ½ tsp. McCormick® coarse ground pepper
  • 1 pinch ground nutmeg, optional
  • 4 lg. eggs
  • 1 tube.(16.3 oz.) refrigerated jumbo southern homestyle buttermilk biscuits
  • 8 slices Sargento® Sliced Sharp Natural Cheddar Cheese
Directions
  1. Pre-heat oven to 375 degrees. Place burger patties on a large plate. Season well with half of the maple seasoning. Set aside.
  2. For Biscuits: Press two jumbo biscuits together, then lightly dust with flour. Set aside. Repeat with remaining biscuits. Roll out the four combined biscuits with a rolling pin to about ½ inch thick. Place on a small baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake for 10-14 minutes or until golden brown. Remove from oven and let cool while making gravy, burgers, and eggs.
  3. For Country Gravy: Pre-heat a small saucepan over low heat. Add 1 tablespoon of the butter. Let melt completely, then stir in flour. Cook for 2 minutes, stirring often. Slowly whisk in milk. Cook over medium low heat until mixture thickens, whisking often to break up any lumps. Add remaining maple seasoning, ground pepper and nutmeg. Keep warm.
  4. For Burgers: Pre-heat a large cast iron or steel skillet over medium high heat. Place seasoned burgers seasoning side down. Smash burgers with the back of a heavy-duty spatula. Cook for 1-2 minutes or until well browned. Flip burgers and cook an additional minute. Place one slice of cheese over each burger. Cook an additional 30 seconds or until lightly melted. Transfer to a plate and tent with foil to keep warm.
  5. For Eggs: Place a small non-stick pan over medium low heat. Add a small amount of the remaining butter to the pan. Crack one egg into a small dish, then carefully pour the egg into the hot pan. Cook egg for 30-45 seconds or until bottom of egg is lightly browned. Carefully flip egg, so as not to break the yolk. Cook an additional 30 seconds or until yolk is cooked to desired
    doneness. Transfer to a plate and repeat with remaining eggs. Keep warm until ready to assemble.
  6. To Assemble: Split the four biscuits in half and place one slice of cheese on each biscuit bottom. Place cooked burgers over cheese. Transfer one fried egg over each cheeseburger. Spoon two tablespoons of warm gravy over eggs. Finish with biscuit top. Serve with additional gravy on the side for dipping.
  7. Note: Feel free to substitute your own biscuit recipe for the refrigerated biscuits if desired. Store bought country gravy can be substituted for the homemade gravy. Add pieces of pan fried ham for an added southern flair.
