Kick off your next party the right way and serve these baked tomatoes stuffed with a creamy filling made from sour cream, Sargento® Shredded Sharp Cheddar Cheese - Fine Cut, spices and minced garlic. Serve with crunchy breadsticks for perfect snacking.

  • 6 medium tomatoes
  • 2 cups (8 oz.) Sargento® Shredded Sharp Cheddar Cheese - Fine Cut, divided
  • 1 can (4 oz.) chopped mild green chilies, drained
  • 1/4 tsp. dried oregano
  • 1/4 tsp. minced garlic
  • 6 Tbsp. sour cream
  • 3 green onions, chopped
  • Breadsticks
  1. Cut 1/2-inch slice from top of each tomato; scoop out pulp and seeds, leaving tomato shell. Invert on paper towel-lined plate and let drain 20 minutes.
  2. Combine 1-1/2 cups cheese, chilies, oregano and garlic in bowl. Spoon mixture evenly into tomato shells.
  3. Arrange tomatoes in greased, shallow baking dish and bake uncovered in preheated 325°F oven 20 minutes. To serve; top with sour cream, remaining cheese and onions. Serve with breadsticks.
