Treat yourself and your loved ones to homemade Sloppy Joes created with ground turkey simmered in chili sauce, Worcestershire sauce and tomato paste along with bell peppers to create a hearty filling. Top with perfectly melting Sargento® Sliced Reduced Fat Colby-Jack Cheese between whole wheat buns.

  • 1 lb. ground turkey (93% lean)
  • 1/2 cup each; finely chopped onion and green or yellow bell pepper
  • 3/4 cup chili sauce or catsup
  • 1 Tbsp. each: Worcestershire sauce and tomato paste
  • 4 slices Sargento® Sliced Reduced Fat Colby-Jack Cheese
  • 4 whole wheat hamburger rolls, lightly toasted
  1. Cook turkey, onion and bell pepper in a large nonstick skillet over medium heat until turkey is no longer pink, stirring frequently. Pour off drippings. Add chili sauce, Worcestershire sauce and tommato paste; reduce heat to medium low and simmer 5 minutes or until thickened and vegetables are tender.
  2. Spoon mixture over bottom of rolls; top with cheese and roll tops.
