These pita wraps have tons of savory flavors from roasted red bell peppers grilled with garlic and seasoned skirt steak strips to a smooth melting layer of Sargento® Ultra Thin® Baby Swiss Cheese Slices. Every bite of this meal is cheesy and delicious.

Ingredients
  • 2 Tbsp. olive oil
  • 1 tsp. garlic salt
  • 1/2 tsp. freshly ground black pepper
  • 1 medium sweet onion, cut into 1/4-inch thick slices
  • 1 red bell pepper, cut lengthwise into quarters
  • 1 lb. skirt steak, cut into 2 pieces
  • 4 pocket-less pita bread, grilled or warmed
  • 8 slices Sargento® Ultra Thin® Baby Swiss Cheese Slices
Directions
  1. Combine oil, garlic salt and pepper; brush half of mixture over onion slices and bell pepper quarters. Brush remaining mixture over steak.
  2. Place steak and vegetables on preheated medium-hot grill. Grill, covered, 5 to 6 minutes per side for medium rare steak and crisp-tender vegetables.
  3. Cut steak and bell pepper into strips; separate onion into rings. Arrange steak and vegetables in warm pita bread; top with cheese. Fold or roll up pita; serve immediately
