These panini are packed with hearty roast beef slices that are tender and juicy with a pairing of Sargento® Sliced Gouda Cheese that melts to an ideal texture when toasted along with a slathering of spicy brown mustard for just the right amount of tang with every cheesy bite.

  • 4 tsp. butter, softened
  • 4 slices hearty white or rustic bakery bread
  • 4 slices Sargento® Sliced Gouda Cheese
  • 6 oz. thinly sliced deli rare roast beef
  • 1 Tbsp. spicy brown mustard or hot Dijon mustard
  • Sliced dill or sweet pickles (optional)
  1. Spread butter over 1 side of each slice bread. Turn 2 slices over; top with 2 slices cheese and the roast beef. Spread mustard over beef; top with pickles if desired. Top with remaining 2 slices cheese. Close sandwiches with remaining bread, buttered sides up.
  2. Cook sandwiches in a preheated panini maker or greased waffle iron until golden brown and cheese is melted, 3 to 4 minutes. (Or sandwiches may be cooked in a large nonstick skillet or grill pan over medium heat, 3 to 4 minutes per side.)
