Forget your standard boring tuna melt and make things the way they do in Cape Cod by adding some dried cranberries and mayo to your tuna before placing it onto a toasted sourdough bun. Melt distinctly rich Sargento® Sliced Vermont Sharp White Cheddar Cheese on top for extra flavor.

Ingredients
  • 1 can (6 oz.) white tuna in water, drained, flaked
  • 3 Tbsp. low fat mayonnaise
  • 2 Tbsp. dried cranberries
  • 2 slices sourdough bread, lightly toasted
  • 4 slices Sargento® Sliced Vermont Sharp White Cheddar Cheese or Sliced Sharp Cheddar Cheese
Directions
  1. Combine tuna, cranberries and mayonnaise. Spread mixture over toast; top with cheese, overlapping as necessary to cover filling and edges of toast.
  2. Place on a foil-lined baking sheet. Broil 5 inches from heat in a preheated broiler or toaster oven 3 minutes or until cheese is melted and sandwiches are hot.
