You don’t have to wait until National Panini Month to make this awesome recipe. Celebrate it every day and break out your panini maker or waffle iron and get ready to make a sandwich that will rock lunch time. Indulge in two amply buttered slices of your favorite artisanal bread, layers of Sargento® Colby-Jack slices along with hearty slices of ripe tomato and flawlessly crisp strips of bacon.

  • 1-1/2 Tbsp. butter, softened
  • 4 slices sourdough or multi-grain bread
  • 4 slices Sargento® Colby-Jack
  • 4 slices ripe large tomato
  • 4 slices crisply cooked bacon
  1. Spread butter over 1 side of each slice bread. Turn bread over; top with cheese.
  2. Place tomato and bacon over two slices bread; close sandwiches with remaining bread buttered sides up.
  3. Cook in a preheated panini maker or well-oiled waffle iron 3 minutes or until golden brown and cheese is melted. (Or, cook in a large nonstick skillet 3 minutes per side.)
