Upgrade your next bowl of mac and cheese by bringing in bite-size pieces of luscious lobster meat along with a pinch of cayenne pepper, dried thyme and Sargento® Shredded Extra Sharp Cheddar Cheese mixed in with a buttery serving of penne noodles.
4 Tbsp. butter
2 Tbsp. finely minced onion
4 Tbsp. flour
1 cup milk
1 cup seafood broth
1 pinch dried thyme
1 pinch cayenne pepper
16 oz. penne pasta, cooked according to package directions
1 lb. cooked lobster meat, cut in bite-sized pieces
In medium saucepan melt butter; add onion and cook until translucent. Add flour a tablespoon at a time and cook until smooth and bubbly. Add milk slowly, whisking constantly; add broth. Whisk all together and cook over medium heat until thickened.
In large baking dish mix pasta, lobster, thyme, cayenne pepper and sauce. Add 1 cup cheese and stir.
Top with remaining cheese and bake in 350°F oven 30 minutes or until bubbly .
