Make fondue cheese dip even easier to enjoy by placing it on cocktail toasts for an easy-to-eat treat for all of your guests. This topping is made with a blend of cheeses including Sargento® Shredded Parmesan Cheese for that rich taste and melted texture in every bite.

  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 Tbsp. half-and-half, cream or milk
  • 1-1/4 cups (5 oz.) Sargento® Shredded Parmesan Cheese
  • 2/3 cup Sargento® Shredded Swiss Cheese
  • 1/4 cup cherry brandy
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. freshly ground black pepper
  • 1/8 tsp. nutmeg
  • 16 slices cocktail rye bread
  • 1/4 cup fresh chives
  1. Beat eggs with half and half in medium bowl. Add cheeses, brandy, salt, pepper and nutmeg; mix well.
  2. Arrange bread on foiled-lined baking sheet. Spoon cheese mixture evenly over bread. Bake in preheated 425 °F oven 12 minutes or until cheese is melted and golden brown.
  3. Transfer appetizers to a serving platter; garnish with chives. Serve warm.
