Tender-cooked green beans join crispy bacon in a simmered sauce made from dry white wine, herbs and topped with Sargento® Shredded Monterey Jack Cheese. This side dish goes perfectly with any entree and is sure to please everyone at the table.

Ingredients
  • 1 pkg. (16 oz.) frozen, cut green beans
  • 2 Tbsp. dry white wine
  • 2 slices crisply cooked bacon, crumbled
  • 2 Tbsp. butter or margarine
  • 3/4 tsp. seasoned salt or salt-free herb seasoning blend
  • 1 cup (4 oz.) Sargento® Shredded Monterey Jack Cheese, divided
  • 2 Tbsp. toasted slivered almonds
Directions
  1. Cook green beans according to package directions; drain. Stir in wine, bacon, butter, salt and 1/2 cup cheese. Place in 1-1/2-quart casserole; cover.
  2. Bake in preheated 350°F oven 15 minutes or until heated through. Sprinkle remaining cheese and almonds on top; cover. Bake 5 minutes.
