Make your guests go crazy for this Baked Tomatoes Recipe, made with our real, natural shredded Parmesan and Mozzarella cheeses. This simple recipe is a great way to use your fresh, ripe tomatoes and basil before the season comes to a close.
4 medium tomatoes
1 1/2 cups 6 oz. Sargento® Shredded Mozzarella - Traditional Cut
1/2 cup Panko crumbs
2 tsp. fresh basil or 1 tsp. Italian seasoning
1 tsp. dried parsley
1/3 cup Sargento® Shredded Parmesan Cheese
Preheat oven to 350° F.
Cut tomatoes in half and place cut side up in 13x9 baking dish.
Sprinkle Sargento® Shredded Mozzarella - Traditional Cut cheese evenly on top of tomato halves.
Bake for 10 minutes.
While baking combine breadcrumbs, seasonings and Parmesan cheese in a bowl.
Remove from oven and sprinkle tops of tomatoes with breadcrumb mixture.
Bake an additional 10 minutes, or until breadcrumbs are toasted.
