Cooking Light 2013 Taste Test Awards
We all know Sargento cheese tastes the best, but now, so do millions of others. Cooking Light magazine, the largest epicurean magazine in the United States, selected the Sargento 'Off-The-Block' Part-Skim Mozzarella cheese in a blind taste test. The honor was part of Cooking Light's '2013 Taste-Test Awards: Fast, Convenient Foods.'
The health-conscious editors, who also focus on flavor, chose their top 41 supermarket foods in 20 different categories. These awards guide their 12 million readers each month toward the best foods according to taste and nutrition. The editors weeded-out foods that did not meet Cooking Light's standards of nutrition, so Sargento made it through the first round and ultimately to the winner's circle.
Editors gave the 'Off-The-Block' Part-Skim Mozzarella the grand prize in the category, describing it as "...moist, fat shreds--as if you shredded it yourself. Milky-sweet with just the right amount of tang."
