Easy Baked Cheeseburgers

  • 1 lb. lean ground beef
  • 1/4 cup seasoned dry bread crumbs
  • 1/4 cup chopped onion
  • 1 tsp. seasoned salt or garlic salt
  • 1/2 tsp. pepper
  • 4 slices Sargento® Sliced Colby Cheese
  • 4 onion rolls or hamburger buns, split, toasted
  • 4 lettuce leaves
  • 4 slices tomato
  • Mayonnaise (optional)
  • Mustard (optional)
  • Ketchup (optional)
  1. Combine meat, bread crumbs, onion, salt and pepper in medium bowl. Press into 8x8-inch square pan. Bake in preheated 375°F oven 18 minutes or until no longer pink in center; drain. Cut meat into quarters.
  2. Place cheese over meat. Bake at 375°F 2 minutes or until cheese is melted. Place meat on bottom half of rolls; top with lettuce, tomato and top half of roll. Serve with mayonnaise, mustard and ketchup, if desired.
