Hearty Cheddar Chili Con Carne
INGREDIENTS
- 1/2 lb. lean ground beef or turkey
- 1 Tbsp. chili powder
- 2 cans (15-1/2 oz. each) chili beans in spicy sauce, undrained
- 1 can (14-1/2 oz.) seasoned diced tomatoes, undrained
- 1/2 cup salsa (plus additional salsa for serving, if desired)
- 2 cups (8 oz.) Sargento® ChefStyle Shredded Mild Cheddar Cheese, divided
- Sour cream (optional)
- Fresh cilantro (optional)

Cook meat in large saucepan over medium heat until browned, stirring often; pour off drippings. Sprinkle chili powder over meat. Stir in chili beans, tomatoes and salsa. Cover; heat to a boil over high heat. Reduce heat; simmer 10 minutes.

Stir 1 cup cheese into chili; ladle into bowls. Top with remaining 1 cup cheese. Serve with sour cream, salsa and cilantro, if desired.
