Barbecue Bean and Cheese Chili
INGREDIENTS
- 2 lbs. lean ground beef
- 2 medium onions, coarsely chopped
- 2 Tbsp. chili powder
- 2 tsp. cinnamon
- 2 tsp. cumin
- 1 cup barbecue sauce
- 1 can (28 oz.) crushed or diced tomatoes, undrained
- 1 can (15 oz.) tomato sauce
- 2 cans (14 oz. each) black beans, rinsed and drained
- 1/4 cup real bacon bits or crumbled cooked bacon
- 2 cups (8 oz.) Sargento® Artisan Blends® Shredded Double Cheddar Cheese or Sargento® ChefStyle Shredded Extra Sharp Cheddar Cheese, divided

Brown ground beef with onions in a 4-quart saucepan 8 to 10 minutes; pour off drippings. Stir in chili powder, cinnamon and cumin; cook 1 minute.

Add barbecue sauce, crushed tomatoes, tomato sauce and black beans; mix well. Bring to a boil over high heat. Reduce heat; simmer 20 minutes. Stir in 1 cup cheese and bacon bits. Ladle into bowls, top with remaining cheese.
