Country Style Mashed Cheddar & Bacon Potatoes
Ingredients
- 2 lbs. red potatoes
- 4 cloves garlic, peeled
- 3/4 cup milk or half-and-half
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. freshly ground black pepper
- 1-3/4 cups Sargento® Bistro® Blends Shredded Sharp Wisconsin & Vermont Cheddar Cheese with Real Bacon
Directions
- Scrub potatoes and cut into 1-inch chunks. Place in a large saucepan, cover with cold water and bring to a boil over high heat. Add garlic cloves to water; reduce heat and simmer until potatoes are very tender, about 15 minutes.
- Drain potatoes and garlic; return to same pot and turn heat to low. Add milk, salt and pepper. Mash to desired to desired consistency with a potato masher. Stir in cheese just until melted.
