Fettuccine with Herbed Cheese Sauce
Ingredients
- 3 Tbsp. butter or margarine
- 1/3 cup sliced green onions
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 Tbsp. all-purpose flour
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. dried basil
- 1/2 tsp. dried oregano
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 1-3/4 cups milk
- 1 cup (4 oz.) Sargento® ChefStyle Shredded Mozzarella Cheese
- 1 cup Sargento® Whole Milk Ricotta Cheese
- 3 Tbsp. chopped fresh parsley
- 10 oz. fettuccine or spaghetti, uncooked
Directions
- Melt butter in medium saucepan; add onions and garlic. Cook 5 minutes or until tender. Stir in flour, salt, basil, oregano and pepper. Gradually stir in milk; cook and stir until thick and bubbly. Remove from heat.
- Add cheeses. Stir until melted and thoroughly combined. Stir in parsley; keep warm.
- Cook fettuccine according to package directions. Toss immediately with cheese sauce and serve.
